Cancer has spread/Metastasized
Oh No
On Oct 2nd I had the lower left lobe removed along with 14 lymph nodes of which 6 were positive for cancer. So needless to say I went from Stage 1a to Stage 3A cancer. I asked to be considered for a clinical trail, but just found out 2 days ago that I do not qualify because of TIA that I had 7 years ago. So my Chemo treatment start on Thurs 11-15, and with all the information thus far I feel overwhelmed. I am going to go through this and hope for the best.
Video assisted thoracic surgery
Procedure or Surgery
I had a lobectomy of my lower left lobe, the surgeon also removed 14 lymph nodes in which 7 tested positive for cancer.
Chemotherapy
Drug or Chemo Therapy
I started chemo on Nov 14th , at first the side effects where minimal the second cycle however was much rougher on me and did end up in the hospital twice for dehydration. I should finish by 1-31-13.
