    E.R. Doctors wrong

    Celebration

After seeing my oncologist today I feel much better. She had no idea what they had told me in E.R. she thought I went home with a clear mind which I sure didn't. From what she looked at everything is pretty much the same as my petscan done about 2 months ago. It was due to the way they had me positioned in the C.T. Scan. So from what I heard a few butts got chewed today but what a relief to me. Thanks for thoughts and prayers!! :) I still have cancer but it hasn't spread again.

    Decision Point

I have been on chemo for a few months now. I have had 4 treatments and I have them every 3 weeks. A few months ago I had a lymph node removed under my left arm/breast it is about 6 inches away from my port so every thing is going through this area and it is all swollen and sore my left breast is much bigger than my right lol and I have a large lump sticking out of the arm pit. So my choices are keep going with chemo finish whatever I have left which I have to check on Monday or stop chemo have the lump removed and start chemo fresh in 3 months. So pretty much what I have been going through would have been for nothing because we didn't complete the cycle. So after some thinking I decided to keep my new little friend keep going with chemo and just hope he doesn't grow which he hasn't and walk around with one boob bigger than the other. Would be ok except I can't wear a bra with my new friend. I do wear many shirts living in Mi its cold so I can cover it somewhat. Oh well I have always been different why change now. hehehe. Time to go and enjoy the sun and freezing weather were having. Just another detour in the journey it wouldn't be a journey if there weren't any detours.

    Decision Point

Since having a CT Scan done on my new friend it was decided that they can't do any type of surgery because they would not be able to close the wound because of where it is at and would be too dangerous. So the decision was made to switch up chemos get my shot on Sunday and buck up and keep fighting the lump. Chemo only no radiation.

    Hair loss (alopecia)

    Side Effects

Well I decided to shave my head tonight. I have had many different types of chemo and radiation since March of 2010 and didn't lose my hair it did thin out. These last few months it has really been coming out and Doc Carol told me it would fall out with this chemo combo will be gone within 10 days but it was coming out in handfulls already. Also today I lost my chemo buddy Wendy and she was an old co worker so nice to have a person you know already with you. I was getting ready to go see her after chemo today she was home with hospice and passed 5 min before I called. So I came home and shaved my head for her and the friends I have lost these past few months and the ones who are ready to start their new journey also. And to the ones who are kicking the $h!T out of it. Wasn't bad at all didn't even cry kinda felt good when it falls out it starts to itch and feels like you have bugs (gross) so now doesn't itch. :) Another journey God Bless you All. Hugs

Time again for the chemo this is my 2nd round in this session. Not sure about having to have the neulasta shot yet will find out tomorrow. March 1st 12 Chemo went smooth today all my blood work came back good but I still have to get the Neulasta shot or go in every day for 3 weeks to have my blood drawn so I opted for the shot which I will get Friday afternoon. Doc Carol said the second should be easier since I have it in my system now? Lets hope. Good day to all.

Once again had my chemo didn't go to bad just really worn out from the concert and chemo lol. I do have to go back Sunday morning to get my neulasta shot. I really don't mind chemo everyone is so nice and they get me in and out fast. I go the day before and have my blood drawn that way I don't have to sit around and wait 1-2hr for my labs before they can get started on my chemo. I text them to let them know I'm on time and they start ordering my meds and everything is ready to go when I get there. I have such a wonderful team there is not one person that I don't care for and that is pretty lucky if you ask me!! Have to have a cat scan for the cancer in my breast really want the lump removed it is starting to hurt. More waiting lalalalala

    Clinical Trial

So I picked the clinical trial I start tomorrow June 11th haven't been too nervous but just sitting here finishing the paper work and reading through some of the the stuff that the may do I'm starting to get nervous. Either way I go it is into the unknown because they don't know what to do with me. Having such a rare cancer doesn't help either. Need to get the paperwork done and get my mind into something else. Will keep you posted. Many thoughts and prayers to you.
