    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I found the lump but it took months to get into the gynecologist to get an exam and an order for a mammogram. Nobody's fault, but 2 appointments were cancelled due to emergencies. Stage 2, tumor also in sentinal node. Not just positive in the lab, I mean growth.

    Lumpectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

Had a drain sewn into armpit for 2 weeks (because it did keep draining). Massively sick from anesthesia (unexpected). Only had 2 weeks off work. That was a lot more than I expected from having 2 little lumps removed.

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

Adriamycin and Cytoxan put me flat for 2 days, but then I recovered. Two of the treatments put me in the hospital for infections. Taxol has been extremely easy to take. It's just now that I have my last treatment (#12) the day before Thanksgiving that the drug has worn me down. Side effects have been very minimal and managable.

    Easy to Do: Agree
