    Diagnosed

    Oh No

I had been feeling tired and had a blood transfusion in November and December but other than that didn't feel really bad, just tired.

To get a second opinion at the Mayo clinic in Rochester MN

    Decision Point

I was sent home from the hospital in Shakopee Minnesota in March of 2012 and given 3-4 days. Hospice came every day. I had a tube that when I ate it went straight into a bag. After a few days I became really hungry and the surgeon told my husband to turn off the tube to the bag and let me eat. If I got sick I wouldn't want to eat. I never turned the tube back on. I was without medical care except for visits from hospice from April until July. I decided to go to the Mayo for a second opinion and see what was going on. During the time from April to July I prayed and used essential oils. When I went to the Mayo the tumor had shrunk and after an MRI the colon, kidney, gynocological and liver surgeons said they could remove the tumor. After 9 hours on the operating table they had removed 100% of the tumor. I spent 10 days in the hospital.

    Other

    Loss

I am suffering with depression. I should be the happiest person in the world and I am so grateful for every day however I am so sad. The early evenings are the worst for me. I am taking prozak but haven't seen much of an improvement. Working on it.

    Cancer is back/Recurred

    Oh No

Was cancer free from August, 2012 until April, 2013. I had 8 preventative chemo treatments. Was suppose to have 10 but had to stop because of neuropathy caused by occiliplatin. Found out April 25 that I have two tumors in my abdomen. One is 2" and the other is 1". Drs. have advised six weeks of chemo using folfiri, leucovorin and irinotecan. Since this chemo will be every other week I will only have three treatments and then they want to do another CAT scan. I am praying the chemo gets rid of the tumors and no other treatment is needed. Right now scared and very depressed.
