    Diagnosed

    Oh No

My 80 year old mother just went through lung cancer last year, with surgery and chemo. She finished her chemo in April, 2012. Just last month she was diagnosed with bladder cancer, which has invaded the muscle. We are waiting for scan results to determine the extent of invasion and course of treatment. I just wonder how she will manage to go through more treatment.

    First Step

    Oh No

Met with the oncologist yesterday. Says Mom will probably undergo 6-7 chemo treatments to run concurrent with radiation 5 days a week for 6-7 weeks. Said it would be low dose chemo and radiation because of her age and physical condition. Said the goal is to make her feel better. Blah. Have an appointment today with the radiation oncologist. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get her to all of these treatments and work for myself.
