    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

Because the tumor was larger than expected, the clear margins were large enough. Had a re-lumpectomy 2 weeks later to increase the clear margins. Again, all went well.

    Hair loss (alopecia)

    Side Effects

I started losing my hair about 10 days after the first chemo. Had my second chemo December 20. My family shaved my head on Christmas Eve! What a way to celebrate the holidays. That visible sign of cancer was very hard at first, but I had great support which made it become ok.
