    Full lymph node dissection

    Procedure or Surgery

I just had a right side full lymph node dissection and had my parotid gland removed. They removed 80 lymph nodes and I have been home for 4 days. The pain from the surgury was minimal except my shoulders which hurts for 2 days. The surgery took 10 hours and my arms were in a strange position. Now I am just waiting to get my drains out. I can not sleep and keep having nightmares of the surgury. Does or did anyone else have this experience and when do they go away?
