    Diagnosed

    Oh No

My husband was devastated!! We were both scared out of our minds and prayed everyday, several times a day. Our girls were at a loss. It was THE scariest thing we'd ever dealt with.

    Procedure or Surgery

Though the surgery, treatments and recovery have went well and my husband is cancer free now, he does still struggle emotionally some now. Just as a woman would feel loss after losing a breast for example, so does a man with testicular surgery. Patience, encouragement and love are necessities with any illness I think.

    Radiation

Bless his heart. My husband is a truck driver and this was a painful process for him. Before, during and after. Still, he would go get his radiation treatments and then go straight to work with his bottle of phenergan (for nausea) in hand. I love him dearly. His strength is amazing!!

    Painless Experience: Strongly Disagree
    Minimal Side Effects: Neutral/NA
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Neutral/NA

    Nausea/Vomiting

    Side Effects

The side effects of this cancer and treatment are numerous but can be dealt with with patience, love, understanding and medical intervention where needed. My husband had depression, nausea, vomiting, pain, some initial issues with ED which is to be expected, diarrhea, night sweats. We worked and work through them as needed. We also had wonderful doctors who helped and supported him through it all.

    Celebration

My husband was lucky and no cancer got into his lymph nodes and he has been cancer free for about 5 years now. We are so blessed and give all glory to GOD for his continued good health!!
