    Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy)

    Procedure or Surgery

    I had a colon resection in which they removed 18 inches of colon and 32 lymph nodes. The surgery went okay, but about a month later I had to have a fluid pocket removed which was the most painful procedure I have ever had done

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

    I receive chemo every two weeks. I have had a port put in which was supposed to make it easier to access, but has not worked so well. They miss it every time!!!

    External radiation

    Radiation

    I had radiation for 2 weeks. It was very easy to do. Really had no side effects.

    Every week about three days before chemo my left leg swells up into an elephant leg, then after chemo it goes back down
