    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

I was misdiagnosed and did not know I had the cancer till I was no longer able to lay flat or swallow without great difficulty, I coughed day and night till I thought i would choke to death, only after my insistence did they do follow up test and then revealed that they knew 6 months before and I was never told. The one tumor grew to 4 and it had spread beyond my thyroid and had to be scrapped off of the surrounding sites. How does this happen, the results were right in front of them and they decided it was not important enough to mention.

Never to rely on Doctors to give me results verbally but ask for copies and read the results for myself.

    Decision Point

Don't ever rely on others professional or not to give you results that are life or death deal breakers, ask for copies and read for yourself, I was always very trusting. People make mistakes and sometimes they are the ones with the knowledge and decide not to share with you which would have a major impact on your life. I have one life and I wont let anyone hold it in their hands and make wrong decisions for me.
