received the new pathology report after surgery

    Celebration

Hi all For those that have been following me is well aware that I am a triple negative, and that I recently had surgery (partial mastectomy w/breast reconstructive surgery). There was also lymph node removal. Well, today I did have my follow-up visits with the dr's. the report showed that there was cancer cells in the sentinel node but the other (11 nodes) show negative for cancer cells also when tested the tissue and skin that surround the tumor also, came up negative this is a AHHHHH!!!! moment.,

    Mastectomy

    Procedure or Surgery

I had a partial mastectomy. The surgery went welll, there is some tenderness, but the lymph node dissection is somewhat painfull I do have drainage tubes for the lymph nodes (they took a total of 12 nodes) will have to go to a lymphedema center for phyical theraphy

    Went as Expected: Agree
