    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

February 2009.... started my first chemotherapy.....Six months of treatment, 12 sessions every other week....loss weight, eating was difficult between the nausea and food tasting like XXX but forced my self to eat, could not touch anything cold or drink anything cold......after recovering from the surgery, I went back to work.....chemo-free week, I worked the whole week but chemo week, I worked fewer hours....also kept going to the gym during chemo-free week....overall, it sucked but manageable....lots of support from family and friends

    Chemotherapy

    Drug or Chemo Therapy

As before, four months after treatment was stopped, the cancer returned but this time worse.....there were new tumors on the liver but it also spread to my spleen...so started an very aggressive three month chemotherapy on March 2012....it was the worse cocktail of chemo I had....nausea constantly, needed to be hydrated throughout the treatment, loss 30 lbs, skin rash....it suck! I was glad it was only 3 months....and yes, worked full time through it and kept going to the gym!

    Surgery

    Procedure or Surgery

September 2012....had surgery to remove the spleen which had cancer and was swollen to the size of a football due to all the chemotherapy...also removed the gallbladder to make room for the implant of the hepatic arterial infusion pump so that they can give me direct chemo to the liver....the tumors on the liver were dead from the previous chemo round (some good news)

    Cancer has spread/Metastasized

    Oh No

Up to this point, all treatments were done with the hope of curing me....however, now, all my doctors agree that the focus of treatment from this point is to prolong my life as long as possible
