I was very nervous about this procedure however it turned out to be very simple. I was taken into outpatient surgery. The worst part was the first needle XXX to numb the area. I didn’t feel the any of the others. Once the area was numb the surgeon removed the port and stitched me up. From start to finish it took about 30 minutes. I had absolutely no pain whatsoever when the numbness wore off later or the next day. There was some bruising in the area that lasted for a few weeks but has cleared up and now the area is back to normal. I am left with a small scar.
