Implant chemotherapy port - Ashera

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Poorly Differentiated Carcinoma, Unknown Primary. Posted on August 9, 2017 View this journey (15 Experiences)

port put in prior to chemo May 2015. From the beginning, there was a deep burgundy bruise 4 inches wide around port, yet it was found patent and good to go. There was pain all around my chest area for the duration of the port - that side constantly hurt. It stayed in til my year of Herceptin infusions were completed. Left minimal scar and I was surprised to find out it was 11 inches long!
