General Surg/Breast - explained IF...this was indeed breast cancer presenting in the axilla and there was NO breast cancer in the breast - then this was rare. Was told...only 100 known cases thus far over a TEN year period as gathered my MDAnderson, and Mayo - But regardless, because of the HER2 positive state, and the size of the mass, immediate chemo recommended to shrink the mass to a manageble size, and to see if it responded to the chemo. "Team" was to begin meeting on Tuesdays to discuss my care. MRI of breasts/axilla areas scheduled for 2 days later. Further searching for 'primary'. They wanted to make sure something wasn't being overlooked.
