Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy) - begintofly

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Adenocarcinoma, Colorectal Cancer. Posted on August 6, 2013 View this journey (3 Experiences)

I had a left hemicolectomy to remove a precancerous blockage that had been found during a colonoscopy. During the procedure a cancerous tumor was found, and tissue was also beginning to attach to the spleen. The spleen did not have to be removed, but my procedure took about twice as long as expected in order to carefully remove the tissue.
