My thyroidectomy was very tough to recover from! I lost my voice completely for about 2 1/2 months, adjusting to the calcium level changes caused me alot of grief too! My biggest challenge has been the weight issue- since my diagnosis, I have gained about 30 lbs. I continue to workout as much as I physically am able and I try to eat right, but my endocrinologist hasn't been to helpful in giving me tips on foods to avoid or things to try. I am so frustrated, because this is not who I am but I can't seem to get anywhere with any method I try!
