Full lymph node dissection - Brewgirl68

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Skin Cancer - Melanoma. Posted on September 24, 2015 View this journey (4 Experiences)

15 nodes removed, 4 positive with matting. The drain was by far the worst part of the whole experience, but I only had it for about 3 weeks. I recovered pretty quickly and with very minimal side effects that were temporary.

Went as Expected: Strongly Agree
Minimal Recovery: Agree
Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

Where were the nodes removed from? I had nodes removed from my left groin area and had a drain for about a week. Now my left thigh is numb and leg has fluid. The support hose are a nightmare to get on, but luckily don't have to wear 24/7.
