Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy) - Callapt
Procedure or Surgery Associated with Colorectal (Colon) Cancer. Posted on January 10, 2012 View this journey (7 Experiences)
I was going through a separation and divorce when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My wife had moved to an apartment and left our two kids with me. I spent just over a week in the hospital and then went home to finish my recouperation. My church supplied meals for a couple of weeks which helped. I didn't have any complications from my surgery. I'd had great training from my Ostomy nurse as to how to take care of my colostomy that was part of my surgery. It was sometimes a challenge but I learned to adapt.
