Oh No Associated with Rare Cancers. Posted on September 24, 2012 View this journey (4 Experiences)

I went into my doctors office thinking I was pregnant than, was told the baby was in my fallopian tubes and surgery was needed immediately. I had a laperoscopy with a dnc the next morning and when I woke up from surgery my doctor said she didn't find a baby. Oh no! My HCG levels, which are hormone levels that determine whether or not you are pregnant and just how far along you are, were extremely high which meant there was suppose to be a pregnancy however, I had a molar pregnancy. That's when the fetus is not properly formed and becomes a tumor. If not treated properly it becomes cancerous. Mine I believe was left untreated for 2 yrs and after an mri it showed the tumor had made it's way from my uterus up to my left lung.
