Oh No Associated with Invasive (Infiltrating) Ductal Carcinoma . Posted on May 27, 2013 View this journey (12 Experiences)

While I was 33 weeks pregnant with my beautiful daughter, now 10 weeks old, I discovered a lump in my breast. During my post partum visit my doctor sent me to have an ultrasound. The radiologist sent me for a biopsy where the techs then discovered two more "suspicious" lumps. Biopsy came back positive for both lumps and a lymph node.

I am sorry that you had to go through this experience, during your pregnancy, which should have been nothing but a pure joyous time for you. Congratulations on the birth of your baby. My son was almost 9 years old when I was diagnosed, and I thought my life was over. My son is 17 years old now, and wanting to see him grow up to be the man he is today, is what gave me the strength to get through those trying times. Best of luck to you, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need to talk, vent, or ask questions. Your family and friends want to help - don't feel afraid to let them, especially with a new baby and all that you're going through. You will be fine. Stay strong!
