Lumpectomy - cranburymom

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Invasive (Infiltrating) Ductal Carcinoma . Posted on November 22, 2011 View this journey (11 Experiences)

The surgery itself went well (lumpectomy sentinel node biopsy) . I was not feeling super well before the surgery, so I anticipate a slower recovery. But the radioactive injection was not painful (core biopsy was worse for me). I had to wait a bit inbetween the injection and the actual operation. The operation was an hour and half, and stayed about 40min at recovery room, and was able to get home that night.
My urine was blue - yes like a window cleaner blue. Thought is was funny. The pain was under control, but I tried not to lift my arm. Let me know if anyone would like to understand this procedure more.
