Oh No Associated with Stomach Cancer. Posted on August 15, 2012 View this journey (3 Experiences)

My father was just diagnosed with stomach cancer the day after his 75th birthday. So far there have been LOTS of scans, tests, and a whole lot of waiting! He's getting a more focused MRI this week and hopefully that will give us a stage of the cancer and then the method of treatment and when it begins. The oncologist feels that surgery won't be necessary and that he'll end up being treated with chemo instead. We're all hoping it's in an early stage and that only a few rounds of chemo will be enough. Luckily he's been told he's very healthy otherwise. I think I'll be in the OH NO stage for quiet a while. I've been having something akin to mini-panic attacks due to all of this. I've been trying to be the brave, supportive, and logical one but I'm an internal emotional mess as well.
