Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - deepee58

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Prostate Cancer. Posted on January 6, 2014 View this journey (5 Experiences)

While the surgery went well, according to the doctor, the recovery was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated. The pain from the gas was awful and lasted for more than a week despite doing all that the doctor suggested. Also the spasms were really painful. Because of the holiday I had the catheter for 2 weeks. Still having the spasms though not as frequently. Now it turns out that I will still have to go through radiation therapy as the pathology report shows the cancer had moved beyond the prostate.

Went as Expected: Agree
