Nauseau. Got fever & chills. Ended up in the ER & was admitted to the hospital overnite. I think it was from the chemo. they said I had 50% kidney function. Had to get IV's & potassium for 2-3 days afterward.

I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral lounge, stage 3, in May, 2010. After surgery, neck dissection, radiation, several smaller recurring surgeries, and a hemiglossectomy last year, I had to start Cisplatin and 5-FU on Thanksgiving day as there were spots showing up in my shoulder, neck, spine, and pelvis areas. The Cisplatin was very tough, but I can say it was worth it. The cancer is gone in all areas except my shoulder and that seems to be getting better. I am now taking chemo with Methotrexate, and seem to tolerate it very well. The ultimate outcome is in God's hands, but while I can, I will fight with all I have. You should too. Good Bless.
