Blood sugar, high (diabetes) - Donna1943

Side Effects Associated with Ovarian and Fallopian Tube Cancer. Posted on September 2, 2012 View this journey (25 Experiences)

Chemo has raised my blood sugar. Working closely with endocrinologist to keep tweaking my insulin, testing my blood, working on food intake, saw Diabestes Educator and a Dietitian. Need to increase cardio, watch my fats, carbs, sodium, proteins. Still seeing endocrinologest as she keeps adjusting insulin and a sliding dosing
scale that will keep my sugar level where they need to be: 70 - 110. I am using Humolog (3 times a day) and Levemir insulin pens at night.

Cortio Steroid to be taken day before chemo, day of chemo, and day after. (4 mg in the am and pm
    for three days only).
