External radiation - dwalk15

Radiation Associated with Hodgkin Disease. Posted on September 7, 2012 View this journey (4 Experiences)

I had 5 weeks of radiation following my chemo. I had to walk around with these blue lines all over my neck and body used to align the lead blocks to protect my internal organs as best they could. I was promoted to Captain in the US Air Force while getting my radiation. One morning I got up, went to my radiation therapy, went back to my room, changed into my blues and went to Admin to get my new ID card. That was the ceremony I had for my promotion. That is one thing I remember most about this whole event...me alone.
