Procedure or Surgery Associated with Esophagus (Esophageal) Cancer. Posted on November 22, 2013 View this journey (6 Experiences)

Esophagectomy was rough, recovery took a long time. The stage III cancer formed near my stomach opening, large opening on the back and from the belly button up to my chest bone. I have constant pain either from the scar tissue, the different places of nerve damage or maybe from the radiation...

I had a esophageal resection over 2 yrs ago and I still have a little pain in my back from where they took a rib out. Numbness is basically with any surgery so live with it. It takes a long time for the nerves to find themselves and some never do. There will be a few things that you will have to over come.
