Oh No Associated with Colorectal (Colon) Cancer. Posted on May 10, 2019 View this journey (12 Experiences)

Just wanted to input a up-date since my first Oh No! experience. It has been about 2 weeks since I told my family and waiting for my appointments to start. I have been so stressed. I am a very stressful person so trying to calm my self down has been hard. I don't feel right now like I have cancer. But I do. I am bought back to reality when they are calling about keeping my appointments or I get a little pain from my diverticular. I started my CT Scan which I was nervous about as the scan date came closer and that wasn't nothing to worry about. It was easy and with a peasant drink to sallow. LOL! The doctor called that afternoon with the results and everything looked good. Cancer hadn't spread through other organs. YEA!!!
I went for my MRI and was really nervous with everyone telling me about the closed space and the noise. It was not as bad as some people made it out to be. I just listened to the music and kept my eyes closed. It went really fast, I thought. The doctor called me the same day and said that everything came out fine. The only thing that showed was the colon cancer and no lymodes or cyst showed. I do have 6.9 cm of cancer near the opening of my butt. So I know I will need Chemo and surgery. I go in next week for a ultra-sound to see how far in and how deep the cancer is to the wall of the colon. I guess this will tell us what stage I am in.But I feel with all the test so far that l I'm in Stage 2. I guess I am luckier then most getting diagnose fast and getting all these appointments going for me. I will see my main surgeon at the end of this month and the plan will be formed.
