Implant chemotherapy port - Grandy

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Invasive (Infiltrating) Ductal Carcinoma . Posted on May 1, 2013 View this journey (10 Experiences)

Stitches didn't disolve very well, that caused the incision site to remain aggravated / itchy. I did find that my own skin to skin contact was part of the aggravation.

Went as Expected: Strongly Agree
Minimal Recovery: Agree
Minimal Side Effects: Agree
Minimal Impact to Daily Life: Strongly Agree

I had the same problem with my port incision. It took almost a month for the incision to heal. Longer than the incision from my mastectomy.
