External radiation - GregP_WN

Radiation Associated with Hodgkin Disease. Posted on October 3, 2011 View this journey (16 Experiences)

This round of radiation was much harder on me than the radiation 20 years earlier was. I was told it was the same type of radiation, just more precise. This time though, the side effects started earlier, and were much harder, I had sores in my mouth that kept me from eating much. The radiation also caused me to loose my voice totally for about a month. I had burns or real dark spots on my neck where the treatment was directed. I had spells where I had to go home at about 2 each afternoon and take a nap. Still, I think it was easier than chemo.

Painless Experience: Disagree
