I had the same surgery on 30 Sep 15. I have posted about my recovery and some things I learned as I move forward that you may find helpful. Remember that everyone recovers at different rates. Be happy if all goes well and you heal quickly but do not be discouraged if it takes more time. This is a time when the saying "There are no stupid questions" really applies. Ask questions no matter how insignificant or stupid you may feel they might be. I have found that little things greatly effect your comfort and confidence. Talk to your loved ones. As men we are taught to internalize everything and be strong. Your loved ones will not understand what you are going through if you don't talk to them. Good luck and godspeed on your surgery.

Best wishes on your surgery. It was just 6 years ago that I was in the same place. I am thankful for my recovery and continuing quality of life. There will be times of discouragement, but you can overcome this. Hope you have a good support team to help as you make this journey. Best to you Wed.
