Colon surgery (colectomy or hemicolectomy) - hobbsm

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Adenocarcinoma, Colorectal Cancer. Posted on November 12, 2014 View this journey (1 Experience)

For anyone having this surgery it was fine, I had right side colon tumor and the first 48 hours were the worse but for me it was not the operation it was the pain relief that made me poorly. Once you set your mind to to get moving and walking around a little each day making each walk longer your soon out of hospital. I made sure I had a routine in hospital and once home and my recovery was very good. Chemo not so wonderful but its a needs to an end. I would not be scared if I had to have any other bowel surgery it is not as bad as our imagination makes us feel it will be.
