Started Androgen Deprivation Therapy by taking the drug Casadex, orally, and Lupron by intramuscular injection approximately 45 days ago. There have been very few side affects. Hot flashes and night sweats have been common but tolerable. Traditional Hormone Therapy for Prostate Cancer failed in Jan. of 2013. Started on Zytega in March of 2013 and have had good response. Currently on Lupron/Zytega/Prednasone and Zometa (for bone loss). Was on Oxycontin for pain-no longer needed.
