Chemotherapy - janec0488

Drug or Chemo Therapy Associated with Mixed Tumors, Breast Cancer. Posted on October 21, 2016 View this journey (4 Experiences)

After a 2nd opinion 8/2016, I chose to begin Taxol chemo for my BC recurrence in the lymph node. I was prescribed 12 weekly treatments. The chemotherapy worked. After six weekly treatments, the tumor went from a mass of (3.4cm) conglomerate nodes in the right axilla at the site of surgical clips is no longer seen. A few small nodes remain in the right axilla. Taxol was extremely successful and I decided not to proceed with further chemo at this time.
Meeting with radiologist in February 2017.
Next update, end of April 2017 after ultrasound

I am so glad to hear that the chemo is doing it's job. I will pray that it continues. Take care.

So happy for you! After taxol for my tumor in the breast (about the same size as yours) the tumor was non evident with no residual cells detected. Keeping you in my prayers!

I had taxol too and it shrunk one tumor and got rid of one completely. Then radiation got raid of the other one. I have been cancer free three years. This month is my 3 year anniversary and I was able to do a 3 mile walk for American Cancer. I am praying all goes well.
