Oh No Associated with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer, Ductal. Posted on June 11, 2018 View this journey (16 Experiences)

I completed Chemotherapy and Radiation in Oct 2015. In July of 2017, the cancer has moved to my lymph nodes in my neck. I am told the tumor is wrapping around one of the major arteries (jugular or carotid, not sure). So, I was sent to MD Anderson in Houston TX. They recommended a chemo regime of Carboplatin and Gemzar. I started chemo in Sept. 2017, again. It seems to be working, the last PET scan said the tumor on lymph node is smaller. I am now Type 2 Diabetic, my body is unable to keep up and get rid of the steroids I am given with every chemo treatment, which is every 2 weeks. My lymphedema is worse than ever. I thought maybe I had cellulitis in May, and I was given antibiotics. I had to go back for more antibiotic, this time for 3 weeks.
