Drug or Chemo Therapy Associated with Skin Cancer - Melanoma. Posted on January 12, 2015 View this journey (3 Experiences)

I finished up my treatment with the Yervoy on January 22. The first treatment wasn't really big deal, the second treatment was a little more intense on the side effect side, I wound up with chest pains, a fever and chills over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and had to be taken to the ER for pain meds and fluids. The third treatment I was the worst because I came down with the Flu a couple days after the treatment, that was the worst I've ever felt in my life, I thought I was going to die a couple times, but finally came through it ok. The fourth and final treatment wasn't as bad as the third but I was still sick for a couple of weeks after and it lingered on longer than the other times.
Unfortunately The remaining tumor in my Lymph node remains and and had actually grown a little over the last PET scan a couple of months ago. Not sure how I feel about it growing bigger part of me says that this is just another speed bump on the road to being cancer free another part of me is scared to death that even though this is a very non aggressive melanoma that it is going to be tougher to kill than others.
So now I begin the next phase of my treatment Keytruda.
