My boyfriend who has been amazing during this whole thing, my absolute ROCK, isn't "feeling it", whatever "it" is. He is stressed, overwhelmed and needs a break. Something is missing for him.
I've been out of work on disability for 8 months, have no extra money as I'm trying to stay on top of the co-pays and other bills, and I live with him at the house HE owns. Just having a really hard time with how cancer may end up taking this relationship as well.

Oh Julie - I am so very sorry to hear about that :(. How absolutely terrible!!! I wish I could say or do something to make things better. Just know I'm thinking of you.

I am sorry to hear about your relationship issues. Awhile back I was talking with a woman who has been battling stage IV melanoma for years. Somehow we got on the top of her relationship with her husband and how she has managed to preserve it. This is what she does. Perhaps it will give you some ideas.

She said she shields him from most of the stuff by leaning on her girlfriends for much of her emotional support. This way she can spend more quality time with her husband talking about other things besides her disease. She kinds of spreads the support across multiple people so he does not feel overwhelmed.

    I hope this helps.
