BRCA1 & BRCA2 Positive - Knitkim

Oh No Associated with Ovarian and Fallopian Tube Cancer. Posted on January 12, 2013 View this journey (5 Experiences)

I found out in August of 2005 that I carry the gene mutations BRCA 1 and BRCA2. Usually a person of Jewish (azweshe) ancestry which I did not know that I was carries one but not both mutations. Cancer is chronic for me... It has been, my personal journey since 2004. For my family I have lived with loved ones my whole life.

I can understand. My mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage IV in 1993. She had both BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 and is of the jewish heritage. She passed away in 2000. Found out January 7th that I have stage IIa Fallopian Tube cancer and am getting genetic testing soon. Anxious about starting chemo in a week or so. Keep fighting and never give up! You are in my prayers.
