I had an MRI and CT scan and bone scan and PET scan. I drank and was injected with so much radiactive material I felt like a walking biohazard. I was told to stay away from small children because I was radioactive. The bone scan revealed one small spot on my backbone, the sacrum. My oncologist didn't believe it. She wasn't convinced it was cancer. So she ordered a bone biopsy. They went into my backbone with a hammer. The doctor said "this may hurt a little bit". Several people held me down so my body wouldn't move. I was hooked up to a heart monitor so everyone could hear my heart racing....beep..beep...beep..beep.. The nurse held my hand and asked "are you a little nervous?" :-) The biopsy confirmed cancer.
