Oh No Associated with Liver Cancer. Posted on May 14, 2012 View this journey (2 Experiences)

my mom was hospitalized for a month, she lost allot of weight, 30 pounds approx. she had yellow skin, eyes.. the doctor said it was jaundice,. Doctors treated her jaundice, and the skin and eyes started clearing up. when she was released from the hospital we got the news that it was cancer, liver cancer.. she whent through 2 biopsis and concluded that it was stage four live cancer and that it had spread to her lungs. the only option cook county hopsital gave us was chemotherapy. she has gone through 4 session already, and se has had some complications, like.. since her liver is not woking correctly, she has been retaining liquids, and everytime her stomack grows because of the liquids she as to go in to the emergency room so doctros could drain some liquid out.. this has happened like 3 times already since february when cancer was detected, and just today my mom had a oncologyst visit, and she had to be hospitalized once again because doctors found a bacteria in her blood,.. i made my research and im guessing thisi is going on because her liver is not working correctly.. i decided to open up a profile today because sometimes, most of the time, i wished there was someone who could understand what im going through right now, i guess it would help to know people that have passed through this or any similar situation. if i can help anyone, i would deff do so.
