Radiation Associated with Invasive, Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Posted on January 10, 2012 View this journey (9 Experiences)

When i went for my fitting for my mask i thought this might be ok, once they put the mask on and screwed it down i said to myself my oh no, then they told me you can not move your head as long as you are screwed down, yikes!!!
Now i have a hard time sitting for 5 min without moving,I said God what am i going to do? i heard a voice that said talk to me.I knew that voice it was the spirit of God,so every treatment 2 times a day for 30 min each time times 66 treatments i spoke to God and he calmed my fears and my restlessness. Yes the treatments do make it difficult to swallow, there were times i wished i did not have to swallow. I had to tell myself that each treatment is one treatment closer to the last treatment. I lost a lot of weight with my cancer, almost 75 pounds and the mask got so loose i could move my head with no resistance. I started moving my head they the techs reminded me to not move and hold still.I hope that this helps some of you to calm your uneasyness about the mask and radiation.God Bless you all.
