I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Papillary Thyroid Cancer in 2006 when I went for my physical. I had my Thyroid removed and had a tumor around my vocal cords and after 4 years I had a reoccurrence in 2010.
At that time, they did a radical neck dissection. They took out 32 lymph nodes and six were cancerous. I had the
I-31 treatment twice. I was in isolation for five day’s. I found out my body rejected the radio-active iodine. I have now been in remission for seven years.
