Since finding out I had breast cancer, I have dealt with it alone. I was not referred to any by my medical team and I basically would go to my surgeon appointments and radiation and then go home. I felt very isolated. Most psychologist didn't accept my insurance. Recently, my oncologist realized that I really need to see a professional and made a recommendation. I started seeing a psychologist last week and it was such a relief being able to talk.

    Have you heard of the group After Breast Cancer Diagnosis? They will provide you with a mentor who has a similar background and diagnosis but who has completed treatment. My mentor really helped me deal with a lot of my fears and made decisions easier. Here's the link:
