Experiences with Problems with doctor

The relationship that cancer patients have with their doctor is one of the most important relationships they have in their life during their time of cancer diagnosis and cancer treatment. When cancer patients are having problems with their doctor, they wonder, “Should I find a new doctor?” or “When should I get a second opinion?”. The best advice is shared by WhatNexter’s below.

When having problems with your doctor, many suggest that you let them know you are involved right off the bat. Communicate well. Ask your doctor any questions you have and do not be insulted when they brush you off; doctors have very busy schedules. Write down questions that you have before your appointments so that you are prepared. It is also helpful to bring a friend or family member to remember information relayed by your doctor. Be confident and involved. Do not be intimidated rather, advocate for yourself. Ultimately, if you are uncomfortable with your doctor, do not try to spare their feelings by sticking with them anyway. It is much better to find a doctor that you are comfortable with. Share any problems you have had with your doctor and get insights from people that may have experienced the same things below.
