It all started with a sore ear and after work-up was found to have tongue cancer. Well, the follow-up PET scan revealed a lung nodule, which revealed cancer cells like those on my tongue. While recovering from that surgery, I fell and fractured my L-3 vertebrae. Surgery revealed a tumor on my spine and a bone scan revealed that the cancer has spread to my bones. I'm told the tumor is aggressive, so radiation will start only a few weeks after back surgery, and the chemo is already under way. They have told me that it is not curable but treatable
