Oh No Associated with Colorectal (Colon) Cancer. Posted on March 15, 2012 View this journey (2 Experiences)

Due to a family history of precancerous polyps, it was recommended I have my 1st colonoscopy at age 40. At that point I had 3 non-cancerous polyps. It was recommended I have another colonoscopy in two years. So on December 20th, 2011, I had my second colonoscopy. The dr came out and said I had 2 polyps, but not to worry. They were very small, and not the worrisome kind, but they would still send them off for testing. But....
On December 22nd she called me and said she was so sorry to tell me, but one of the polyps was cancerous and that they didn't think they got all the edges when removed in the colonoscopy. She said I would need surgery.
Then things got crazy....another colonoscopy on Dec. 23 to tattoo the spot for the surgeon, a CT scans, scheduling appointments with doctors. It all happened so fast.

Sounds like they still found it in the very early stages. Good luck!
