Breast Reconstruction (Implant) - paking

Procedure or Surgery Associated with Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Posted on September 9, 2012 View this journey (1 Experience)

I am a cancer patient but have a little twist to my diagnosis. My first diagnosis of DCIS, in my right side was found in 1999. Shortly after that, I went to Genetic counseling and was found to have a DNA malfunction called Cowden's disease. Since 1999, I was diagnosed with cell proliferation in my left side, so consequently I have a double mastectomy - completed within 5 years of initial diagnosis. Because I have Cowden's, my docs are monitoring me for more cancers. I have had Colon cancer and Basal cell skin cancer on my forehead.
