possible new cancer - pammyjo

Oh No Associated with Clear Cell, Ovarian or Fallopian Tube Cancer. Posted on July 1, 2014 View this journey (11 Experiences)

I Had A Great Week Last Week Almost felt Normal. I Had A ChemoTreatment yesterday (Monday) And Started Feeling Bad On The Way Home. I Developed A Fever And Difficulty Breathing. Ended Up Spending The Night In The ER. They Just About Every Test Possible, Found Nothing And Sent Me Home With Tylenol To Wait For Results Of The Blood Cultures.
around Noon, I Get A Call From The Hospital. The Head Radiologist Reviewed My Chest CT And Found A "Suspicious Nodule" On My Right Lung.
This Is Just So Crazy. I Have Never Smoked A Single CIgaret And Even Avoid Second Hand Smoke Like The Plague. So, It Looks Like I May Be Starting A Whole New Journey, Like OvaRian Cancer Isn't Enough.

My heart goes out to you, Pammyjo! Be sure your gynecology oncologist and team are all on the same page with this latest 'suspicious' thing; I am sure you are on top of them. Wish you the best and sending hugs.

pammyjo, sorry you are having such a difficult time. You are very lucky that your ovarian cancer was detected so early with a very good prognosis .This may be a bump in the road.If there is a nodule it could very easily be benign. You are being treated in an excellent medical center and have an excellent medical team ,if this is something to be concerned about you couldn't be in better hands.Wishing you all the best, and better days ahead.Take care, talk anytime.P.S.YES I KNOW THIS SUCKS.

So, I've had a chance to talk to my Drs about the suspiciouse noddule and they all say "it's probably nothing, but we'll keep an eye on it".
I've decided to just not think about it untill the next scan in September. I"m focusing on good nutrition, positive thinking and trying to keep in shape. Ok, so I'm not in that good of shape, but I don't want to get any worse. :)

I just got the results of the second scan for the "suspisious lung nodule". The radiology report says it's larger and my oncologist says it is more distinct. But since the two scans were done on different machines it "probably" doesn't mean anything.
Errrrrrrr. So frustrating. Now I have to wait another 3 months to do another scan; this time on the same machine with the same radiologist.
Soon I"ll be giving away all of my flash lights because I'll be glowing in the dark from all of the scans!
