I completed 6 months of chemo just a few weeks ago for cancer of the small intestine. Rare..especially for someone in mid 40's. I seriously underestimated the mental impact of Post Chemo. My attitude and outlook during chemo was ultra positive. For some reason I now feel the fear of the unknown sinking in. Fear of it's return..and frustration with continued side effects...and most of all Cancer's impact on my relationship with my girlfriend of two years. Everyone..including me...expected the "Normal Phil" to be back pretty quick. I'm not sure what "normal" is at this point. Advice on dealing with the challenges of post-chemo?
